FILMED IN BOULDER
Boulder County is a repeat stop for the series, not a single location. Episode guides and local reporting tie the show to twelve restaurants here since 2010, nine in Boulder and three in Longmont, but each visit fills one segment of a half-hour episode shared with other cities. After the 2010 taping, The Sink co-owner Mark Heinritz expected about 30 hours of work to be edited down to six or seven minutes.
The first crew came in November 2010, filming over two days at The Sink on University Hill, where the kitchen made its Cowboy Reuben and Buddha Basil pizza and Guy Fieri left a stencil of his face on the painted walls, and at Foolish Craig’s Cafe on Pearl Street, which aired first, on March 14, 2011. Crews filmed Samples World Bistro and The Post Brewing Co. in Longmont in September 2017, and in October 2023 Fieri made apple strudel with executive chef Bradly Hartman at Bohemian Biergarten on 13th Street and tasted pizza at Barchetta on Walnut Street.
ABOUT
Guy Fieri pulls up in a red Camaro convertible at small, independently owned restaurants and heads into the kitchen, where the cooks walk him through the dishes they are known for. Each half-hour episode strings together a few of these visits, in one city or several, usually under a loose theme, and mixes the kitchen work with Fieri’s tastings and a word from the customers. The Food Network series has aired since 2007.
