Heaven Sent

Heaven Sent is set in Boulder, but only part of it was filmed here. The production spent four weeks in Denver and Boulder in the fall of 2014 under the working title Christmastime, and a family home in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood stood in for a Boulder house.

Boulder County’s documented share is the Pearl Street Mall, where the Boulder filming centered on a storefront between Broadway and 13th Street dressed as a fictional business, Poet’s Walk. On November 17, 2014, in the final week, the Daily Camera found Christian Kane, Marley Shelton and Ernie Hudson filming a scene on the mall, and that night the crew set up a shot for the closing sequence. Writer-producer Rick Ramage said most of the mall appears in the film, especially in a walk-and-talk near the beginning, and that a restaurant scene was shot at Riffs Urban Fare. He counted about 150 Boulder-area residents among the extras.
