Sundance Film Festival Partner Hub Matches Local Venues to Sponsors

The Sundance Film Festival Partner Hub, hosted by the Boulder Chamber, matches local venues and vendors with sponsors, studios and brands. Here is how it works.

The Sundance Film Festival comes to Boulder from January 21 to 31, 2027, and sponsors, studios, media outlets and brands are looking for places to hold receptions, parties and meetings. Local businesses can list what they offer in the Sundance Film Festival Partner Hub, hosted by the Boulder Chamber. The Chamber, which the Boulder County Film Commission is part of, described the hub in a column that first ran in the Daily Camera on May 3, 2026.

The column called the hub a growing database of businesses that want to host Festival events, from Pearl Street storefronts to restaurants, galleries and outdoor venues across Boulder County. It is built to match what a Festival partner needs with local venues and service providers.

What a Business Is Asked to Share

A good match depends on detail. The column said participating businesses were providing:

  • Square footage and layout flexibility
  • Technical capabilities and accessibility
  • Catering, lighting, A/V and parking
  • Distance from key Festival locations
  • The types of events the space suits best

The Chamber said it was working with the City of Boulder, Visit Boulder, the Downtown Boulder Partnership and Sundance Institute staff on permitting questions such as temporary signage, liquor licenses, street performances and extended hours. It was also supporting neighboring communities, expecting demand for lodging, transportation and event space to reach beyond the city limits.

What You Can Do There Now

As of October 13, 2026, the hub has separate forms for sponsors and brands seeking commercial space, for Boulder businesses and property owners with space to lease, and for vendors who want to join an unofficial vendor directory. Nonprofits that want to support sponsor events have their own form, and small businesses can register for no-cost one-on-one advising with the Colorado Small Business Development Center serving Boulder County.

Colorado-based businesses and nonprofits can also apply to be an “Official Friend of Sundance Film Festival.” The City of Boulder’s Festival guide says there is no fee, and the interest form lists January 7, 2027 as the last date to apply.

Planning your own event? Start with the City’s Sundance Film Festival Operations Rules of the Road, its guide to the permits, licenses and safety rules that may apply.

The hub also links to our Creative Directory, so crew and creative businesses should check that their listing is current. Our Sundance Film Festival page lists who to contact about volunteering, sponsorship, City permits and lodging.
